Unacceptable Levels: Support an Incredible Film & Enter to Win $2800 in Non-Toxic Products

Unacceptable Levels grand prize

I first shared information about filmmaker Ed Brown’s project, Unacceptable Levels, in April, when Ed first started spreading the news about his film. I was so excited that this film can spread the truth about the unregulated chemicals being used in our daily lives. A few facts which Unacceptable Levels reveals:

  • Before you walked out your front door this morning, you likely ingested, absorbed, or inhaled more than 150 unique synthetic chemicals.
  • Americans assume that chemicals used to make ordinary products are tested for safety — but they are not. This film makes it impossible for corporations and the chemical industry to hide behind the numbers.
  • Health care costs in the United States are over $2 trillion, and we are on what has been described as a “toxic treadmill.”
  • Globally, disease rates are on the rise, and theories abound to address the causes—yet the issues are complex and often muddied by the maneuvering of political and corporate interests.

“Unacceptable Levels explores these issues through the eyes of a father and his personal journey, as he attempts to bring these issues to light for all parents. The primary goal? To see if we can prevent disease before it happens” (UnacceptableLevels.com).

Take a look at the trailer to preview this important work:

To help bring this finished film to life via download, DVD and theater screenings, producer/director Ed Brown and his wife, Lauren, have put together an Indiegogo campaign with a goal of raising a minimum of $20,000, and a larger goal of $100,000 (which is what they REALLY need in order to obtain an attorney, a PR firm and to print DVD’s for the public). Upon reaching the $100,000 goal, Ed will mail copies of Unacceptable Levels to every senator and their staffers in order to educate them on the importance of these issues. The DVD package will include a letter stating the reasons we need to pass the Safe Chemicals Act. In addition, one week prior to the vote, Ed will go to Washington DC to ensure that the Unacceptable Levels message is heard and that we achieve the biggest change in the history of our chemical policy!

SO HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

This project is so important, so I don’t want to be trivial. But I was wondering why the link for my book, Vinegar Fridays, is not included in this post. The link is available on other sites.
