A month ago, I posted the Change One (More) Thing Challenge and noted that we had been slacking in the cloth diaper department. I made it a goal to get The Bear back into his cloth diapers and I’m proud to say WE DID IT!
In honor of the change of the seasons and the Change One (More) Thing Challenge, Healthful Mama is giving away a fall-inspired fluff package: the Kissaluvs Marvel AIO in their newest color, Golden Glow! (It reminds me of an autumn pumpkin!) And a CJ’s BUTTer Stick in Apples & Spice.
If you don’t know much about the Marvels AIO, check out the specifics on the Kissaluvs website. I love that it is an easy, All-in-One style that is simple for dads and caregivers to handle. The fleece inner is gorgeously soft. The best feature? The hands-free soaker that will agitate itself out in the wash. No more grabbing for saturated inserts! The Marvel is a one-size diaper and is surprisingly trim for how absorbent it is. It is a great diaper-bag dipe. Get it in your stash today!
CJ’s BUTTer is a fantastic diaper cream, eczema cream, dry-patch remedy, hair conditioner, cuticle cream, you name it! It’s our new favorite diaper cream and you can get it in the scrumptious Apples & Spice scent, perfect for fall, with this giveaway.
Cassie Sartin says
I loved Kissaluv’s newborn fitted diapers and would love to try the Marvel!
Danielle H says
To be honest we first started using cloth diapers to save money, but after learning more about them I love what I am doing for the environment as well as my childs health and well being. ๐ Thanks for hosting the giveaway! I am a new follower and would love for you to come visit me!
allyson says
We use cloth for environmental, health, and financial reasons!
Courtney Fisk says
it was a health issue at first. my son was born with eczema and has several shin issues- cloth was the only option for his skin. Since then though, I have changed the way we do so many things!
TJ says
Actually, for us, it was neither. It was a money issue for us. It was one more way to cut costs so I could stay at home. Since then, it has turned into a health issue as well b/c my son get terrible diaper rash when he wears disposables and b/c I learned what they put into disposables.
Raquel Beaty says
For us it was a financial decision, a way to cut cost with the realization that we would have two in diapers (one only at night). Also, my son was consistently leaking out of disposables at night, and I could stuff a cloth diaper however much I needed to to prevent leaks. Now it is somewhat a health issue as my 3 month old will sometimes get a rash when she is in a disposable. :/
Lisa says
We used cloth for many reasons – financial, environmental, health & pure cuteness.
Danielle says
Cloth diapering was a monetary decision. I knew that we’d save hundreds if we started out cloth diapering instead of using disposables. After we realized how much we’d save we started looking at the “green” environmental aspect of cloth diapering and cloth diapering products.
Sandra Jean says
We love cloth! We have used cloth since birth and thankfully have never had a red bum ๐ We use cloth because it is better for us financially and better for our little girl.
Amanda Larson says
For us it was an environmental and financial decision. After doing the research I didn’t understand how anyone could put those chemicals on their children, pollute the earth, and spend so much money!
Jessica Allen says
It was a little bit of everything for us.. I wanted to be as healthy as possible and also it was great on the wallet! ๐
Adrienne says
To start it was a health and financial decision. Health on the dogs part, since we have a goat dog of a Newf and I didn’t want her eating paper diapers. But as time went on, it because obvious that it was for health reasons for L too. My husband loved the savings associated with them and was on board right away.
Ashley Reynolds says
It’s more of a health thing for me, but also the savings are just incredible!
Maria Ivey says
We are just starting with cloth diapering and trying to get over the learning curve. Our decision is for both health and environmental reasons.
Christina C says
CD’ing was mostly an environmental decision, but obviously, I love the health benefits to my child too, among other benefits!
Mama Chocolate says
Saving money was honestly our first reason for doing it. 2nd would be health and 3rd would be environmental, though all are very important to us, of course!
Lindsey Galvez says
Honestly, it was the $ savings for us. After researching, I realized how much better {and cuter} they were for my baby! ๐
By the way, couldn’t figure out how to subscribe via email, so I subscribed via Google Reader instead. Sorry!
Jenni says
We chose to do cloth for both environmental and financial reasons, and continue for the health and cute factors. ๐
Leann says
So glad you’re back into cloth. I’m just starting to expand my stash. We started with just prefolds and covers and am slowly working in some pockets and aio’s. Funny thing is – my husband prefers the prefolds, he thinks the other stuff is too confusing ๐
Amanda @ The Eco-Friendly Family says
We started cloth for practical reasons (sposies = blowouts!) but now I wouldn’t change it for the world, not just because they work better, but because of the health and environmental factors.
lauren says
cloth diapers were an environmental decision for me

for the change one thing challenge, my goal will be to eat less pre-packaged foods.
nsees says
For us it was a health concern as far as avoiding chemicals but I equally love the environmental aspect and cost savings of course ๐
Tamara Sz says
Truthfully, it was a financial decision, but as I’ve been doing it longer and done more research, I’m thrilled with both the health and environmental aspects, as well!
Sarah says
We did it for environmental and health, but more than those it is a financial choice. Plus they are so cute!
debbie m says
it was environmental and economical for me. then i was hooked by the cuteness!
lynet says
I haven’t changed to cloth diapers yet…but I think it would be for an envrironmental & economical transition for us…
Sarah @ MindfullyFrugalMom says
We use cloth for a ton of reasons. But I love that they’re so cute. I’ve never used a Marvel before so I’d love to check it out!
Krista says
I have nasty skin allergies, so we were concerned that baby would have them and chose cloth based partly on that, and partly on the environmental concerns.
Then people told us that we couldn’t do it, and that sealed the deal for us. She’s a fluffy butt baby and we love every moment of it.
Adin Blankenship says
Oh I love this Golden Glow color OS AIO cloth diaper. Love it! I am new to CDing and I wish I had done this to my first child. I am due next month so I am really excited to try CDing with my little girl. Still needs more CD stash. ๐ I hope to win! ๐ Love, love, love it!
Vashti M says
Health decision for sure ๐
Cassie Sartin says
And I don’t know if my first comment counts since I didn’t read the prompt… but we chose to CD because of the financial savings. ๐
kari meeker says
i would say a lot of it was because of how LO reacted to spoises (and DH and I just thought they smelled SO bad and were SO awful!)… and i really thought they just looked cute, so DH encouraged me to get just 3 to try at night – she went from sleeping 6 hours a night to 10 hours a night instantly! um yea so can sanity be a reason to switch to cloth?? ๐
Brandi Bowers says
Definitely a health reason! During research, we found the ingredient list for the “dry max” gel found in diapers, and it was DISGUSTING! We found a lot of reviews mentioning chemical burns and a higher instance of diaper rash!
Jasie says
To be honest we’re doing cloth diapering mostly for economical reasons but the health benefits and environmental benefits definitely added to the decision
swedenesefamily says
We chose to use cloth for health reasons.
Jaclyn says
I decided to use cloth to save money, the environmental perks were a definite plus. I know do more to reduce my carbon footprint because of it.
Amy says
We decided on cloth for a whole host of reasons, including the environment and cost and hereditary sensitive skin. The Marvel looks awesome!
Allyson says
We use CD’s to save the planet…saving money is an added bonus. : )
Jessica Hilton says
we use cloth for the environment, health and budget.
Star says
CD’ing was a health & financial decision for us. We love the environmental benefits too!
April G says
Cloth diapering was an environmental, financial, and health decision for us! Our firstborn never did well in disposables, so we bought a few cloth diapers to “try” and put him in them on the weekends since his daycare wouldn’t use them. When we had our twins we switched to cloth full-time, since I now stay home with the kids. They’ve had fewer rashes, we have less trash, and we save money!
Rachel Shelton says
the planet and money
Amanda Boerst says
It was more for the saving money aspect. Although healthier and better on the environment are great bonuses.
Kathleen says
Actually I wanted to save money by using cloth diapers, but I loved all the other benefits as well!
Taryn M says
We decided to cloth diaper because disposable diapers were giving my daughter a rash. Haven’t looked back since. ๐
Jaime says
For me, it was mostly an environmental decision. I just hate the thought of all those diapers ending up in landfills!
But I have to admit that cloth diapers are so much cuter as well!
Therese Culbertson says
We did it to save money & I hated tossing back after back of used disposables with DS1. Also I love that they are so cute & also the great community around cloth diapering!
Debbie says
I’m one of those people who does it wholly for the $.
I’m not sure I have the wherewithal to stick to it for the environment or for the (big picture) health issues. But my diapers have paid for themselves several times over.
Rachel Brennan says
I decided to CD because it will save money, and I feel like it is better for my baby. I didnt CD with my first son and I really regretted it, but with our second, I decided that no matter how crazy my family thinks I am, it is best for our family.
alexis says
As a new mom-to-be I’m excited to start cloth diapering. I’m planning to use CD’s as a way to not only save money, but also protect my child and the environment from unnecessary chemicals.
Nikki says
we’ve used cloth for health, environmental, and financial reasons (though that last one has been a little untrue at times haha)
Ursula McTaggart says
For me, it was initially an environmental decision, but later I realized how fun and cute it is, and any health benefits are a huge bonus!
Chi says
I originally went into cloth diapering to be more environmentally friendly, but the research showed that it was healthier, too. Double bonus! Now I had even more ammunition to argue with my mother why it was important for us to choose CD.
Julie B. says
I am just preparing my stash for baby due in February. I am mainly doing this for the cost benefits. The environmental benefit is just an added plus!
Kelly says
good job!
Jessica says
Cloth diapering was a health and environmental decision for us. I was cloth diapered due to sensitivity to paper diapers. I wanted to do it from the beginning due to monetary reasons and chemicals not being on my child but DH was opposed. After paper diapering my oldest for 10 months and then hearing the whole Pampers debacle and planning for a second child I told him we were trying it and the rest is history!
Elisabeth Thomas says
It was a health decision. I’m trying to be natural as I possibly can.
Rachel Goodhew says
We’re planning on using cloth for both monetary reasons and health, as I myself have sensitive skin, so it just made sense.
Vanessa C. says
It was health related, he was getting bad rashes during the summer and his Pediatrician actually recommended we put him in cloth diapers.
Vanessa C. says

Thank you!!! :o)
Sarah Jane says
For us choosing to cloth diaper was neither an environmental nor a health decision for my daughter, but a cost savings decision. I’m glad we started cloth diapering with our first because I’m hoping to cloth diaper for all our children.
Denise says
Although we haven’t started to cloth diaper, yet..when we do, it will be for environmental and health reasons. And because they are so darn cute!
