Why You Might Need UV Light Water Treatment

Pelican Water UV Light Water Treatment

I had always heard about how our water supply can be contaminated–even after it leaves the treatment plant. It’s no wonder many people turn to bottled water with the though that it is “cleaner” than what’s coming out of the tap! However, bottled water is packaged in BPA (a widely-known, harmful chemical) plastic bottles, which can leach those chemicals into our beverages. Not to mention, plastic bottles create unnecessary waste! Why not simply utilize the water provided by your municipality? Have you ever been put under a “boil water alert?” Sometimes, the water supply is breached and dangerous contaminants and bacteria can enter. Residents are instructed to boil their water before using it to eliminate bacteria. This can also occur during extreme weather events such as earthquakes and floods. In either case, you can feel confident about drinking tap water after putting it through a treatment process, like a UV light water treatment–without the need for boiling.

I’ve learned a lot recently about UV Light Water Treatment. Check out the infographic below, provided by Pelican Water and learn how UV light can help keep your family safe from harmful bacteria.

I’ve never considered myself an athlete. But I became intrigued by CF when a few friends began doing it. However, I was way too intimidated to try it.
