Quick Tip:
To increase the flavor of most any savory meal, try adding a tablespoon or two of tomato paste. Whenever I’m cooking and feel like the dish just needs “something,” I reach for my tube of tomato paste. (I like this kind. It comes in, yes, an easy tube that can be kept in the fridge. No more buying an entire can for only a few spoonfuls!) I find the tomato paste trick to work especially well with soups or my go-to meal: rice and beans.
